Our Story
2,500 years ago, when the world’s first Republic was less than a decade old, Rome found itself under surprise attack by a numerically superior force. Horatius, along with a small contingent, overcame tremendous odds and in doing so, helped a city become a civilization.
Just as vast empires begin as villages, corporations start as small companies. Along the way, organizations need support at critical moments in order to maximize the probability that their strategic decisions will have positive long term effects.
Billy Birdzell
Billy is passionate about creating exceptional outcomes for clients because he believes that growing strong companies is one of the greatest contributions we can make for our country and those who have borne great risk, should receive the maximum reward.
Prior to founding Horatius Group, Billy served as Chief Investment Officer for a single family office that invested across real estate, venture capital, private equity, and public securities.
Billy received a BA in Economics from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.

Luther is on a mission to empower middle market firms with artificial intelligence because AI technologies are the best means of breaking traditional barriers to growth which thereby democratizes the pathway to success for new ideas, products and services.
As founder and CEO of OAG Analytics in 2013, Luther created proprietary AI that enhanced CAPEX decisions and future cash flow predictions for some of the largest companies in the world.
Luther received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth College.
